Badri Margischvili CV
Badri Margishvili was born in Tbilisi, Georgia in 1954. He studied architecture in the University of Georgia and worked as an architect for 5 years for the Architectural Association of Tbilisi. He pursued further postgraduate studies in Architecture in St. Petersburg from 1980 to 1984 and worked as an architect in the continuous restoration works of the old city. During the period 1984-1987, he studied painting at the Ilya Repin Institute of Painting.
His work is influenced by the Russian avant-garde and the works of Russian avant-garde artist Marc Chagall as well as his contemporary Michail Chemiakin.
He has participated in various group exhibitions in St. Petersburg, Moscow, New York, Chicago, Hong Kong and Tokyo. He lives and works both in Georgia and Greece.
